Unika 020 by Albini Fontanot

The Unika 020 is a mid range stair system produced by the Italian manufacturer Albini Fontanot. Please read the specification below to get a better understanding of the product. If you are unsure of any of the terms please refer to our stair terminology page.

Specification

• Treads - Birch plywood 42mm thick
• Carriage - Birch plywood blocks
• Handrail - Solid Beech with a circular profile 50mm in diameter
• Handrail end caps and joining connectors - Plastic
• Balusters - Pressed steel with a square profile 20x20mm
• Baluster to handrail connectors - Plastic
• Riser bars (if applicable) - Steel tube
• Finishing caps - Various plastics

Wooden components

Materials - Birch plywood (except handrail)

Finish - Two coats of varnish. The first coat always contains a coloured stain (see colour samples page) and the second is a clear varnish.

Metal components

The steel balusters are powder coated in one of three colours (see colour samples page). Other metals (screws, nuts, bolts ect) are a multitude of finishes).

Plastic components

A number of plastics are used to produce the various components. They are generally coloured to match the powder coating of the steel parts. Some are translucent.
