Spiral Araya by Rintal
The Spiral Araya is a mid ranged helical stair system produced by the Italian manufacturer Rintal. Please read the specification below to get a better understanding of the product. If you are unsure of any of the terms please refer to our stair terminology page.

- Treads - Solid Beech 40mm thick
- Carriage - Modular steel sections in a Beech casing.
- Handrail - Solid Beech with a circular profile 50mm in diameter
- Handrail end caps and joining connectors - Generally stainless steel
- Balusters - Steel tubes 25mm in diameter
- Baluster to handrail connectors - Plastic
- Cables (optional) - Stainless steel
- Infill panels (optional) - Choice of methacrylate, Beech or steel plate
- Riser bars (if applicable) - Steel tube
- Finishing caps - Plastic
Wooden components
Material - Solid Beech, block laminated
Size of individual blocks - 40x40mm
Graded for evenness of colour - Yes
Finger jointed - No
Finish - Two coats of varnish. The first coat always contains a coloured stain which can be either a standard colour (see colour samples page), or can be a match for a sample provided by you. The second coat is always a clear varnish.
Metal components
The steel sections of the carriage and the balusters are powder coated to any RAL colour, although there are three colours that are considered standard (see colour samples page). Alternatively the balusters may be chrome plated. Other metals (screws, nuts, bolts ect) are a multitude of finishes).
Plastic components
A number of plastics are used to produce the various components. They are generally coloured to match the powder coating of the steel parts. Some are translucent.
