Focus by Albini Fontanot

The Focus is a mid ranged alternate tread stair system produced by the Italian manufacturer Albini Fontanot. Please read the specification below to get a better understanding of the product. If you are unsure of any of the terms please refer to our stair terminology page.

Specification
  • Treads - Solid Beech 30mm thick
  • Carriage - Steel tubes joined by welded steel plates
  • Handrail - Polyurethane over a flexible aluminium core
  • Handrail end caps and joining connectors - Generally plastic
  • Balusters - Steel tubes 20mm in diameter
  • Baluster to handrail connectors - Plastic
  • Riser bars (if applicable) - Steel tube
  • Finishing caps - Plastic
Wooden components
  • Material - Solid Beech, block laminated
  • Size of individual blocks - 18x30mm
  • Graded for evenness of colour - No
  • Finger jointed - No
  • Finish - Two coats of varnish. The first coat always contains a coloured stain (see colour samples page) and the second is a clear varnish.
  • Metal components

    The steel carriage sections and the balusters are powder coated in one of three colours (see colour samples page). Other metals (screws, nuts, bolts ect) are a multitude of finishes).

    Plastic components

    A number of plastics are used to produce the various components. They are generally coloured to match the powder coating of the steel parts. Some are translucent.
